WATSEKA, Ill. (WCIA) — Just two weeks after an Iroquois County agriculture teacher was accused of possessing child pornography, another teacher in the same county was arrested on charges of grooming her students.
The Watseka Police Department said in a social media post that they were notified earlier this week of a teacher at Watseka Community High School making inappropriate comments while teaching her students. Police launched an investigation, during which several students were interviewed at the Children Advocacy Center in Watseka.
During that investigation, police said there were also occasions where the teacher showed some of the students pornographic images.
Woman ordered to Coles County Jail for violating pretrial release
As a result of the investigation, police arrested the teacher on Thursday. She was identified as 23-year-old Baylee Bushong of Hoopeston.
Bushong was booked into the Iroquois County Jail on charges of grooming and distributing harmful material, police said. Iroquois County judicial records have not indicated any court activity …
