SD Mines formally introduces David Crum as new Athletic Director | Sports [Video]

RAPID CITY, S.D. –  South Dakota Mines held a press conference Friday to introduce David Crum as their new athletic director.

Crum replaces Joel Lueken who resigned in April after 10 years with the school.

Crum has more than 30 years of experience

Crum brings more than 30 years of collegiate athletic experience, as well as, an extensive background in fundraising.

After graduating from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota and a master’s degree from Ohio State, crum worked in several different athletic departments including Iowa State University, UCLA and the University of Mminnesota.

After spending a year working as the executive director of development for UC Health in Colorado, Crum decided to get back into college athletics.

Crum said he was just trying to find the right fit.
