SCRAPS hosts free spay-neuter clinic “Spokane County SNIP” [Video]

SCRAPS says Spokane County has seen an increase in pregnant dogs, which they are hoping to combat by offering the free clinic.

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — The Spokane Regional Animal Protection Service (SCRAPS) is hosting the free spay-neuter event “Spokane County SNIP” on Sunday, August 25.

SCRAPS says they have seen a considerable uptick in pregnant dogs in Spokane Valley, and often their litters of puppies end up at the shelter.

The main solution to overpopulation in area dogs is through spay-neutering efforts.

Spokane County SNIP will offer free spay-neuter procedures to 100 household-owned dogs for free.

Registration to take advantage of the spay-neuter services is required. You can sign-up and make a reservation here. There is a $25 fee to reserve your spot, but the money can either be donated or refunded after the procedure.
