Schreiber Center for Pediatric Development suspends behavior health service program [Video]

Officials said the center will continue to help children through its occupational therapy services, but behavioral health services will be suspended Aug. 31.

LANCASTER, Pa. — The Schreiber Center for Pediatric Development on Monday announced it is suspending its behavioral health service line until further notice.

The Lancaster-based facility said the suspension is effective on August 31.

The Schreiber Center launched its behavioral health service line in March 2020 “with the goal of providing behavioral health therapy to our existing client base,” the facility said in a press release. 

At the time of its opening, there were three full-time behavioral health therapists who worked during quarantine and business closure mandates resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, the Center said.
