School threats lead to arrest of juvenile in small Nebraska town [Video]

YUTAN, Neb. (WOWT) – A child has been taken into custody after authorities say threats were made to a school in a small town just west of the Omaha metro.

The Yutan Police Department received a report Tuesday night alerting them to circulating threats of violence toward faculty and students at Yutan High School.

In collaboration with Saunders County and state authorities, police identified and arrested a juvenile Wednesday in connection to the threats. Officers did not provide any further information on the suspect.

The investigation is ongoing but officials do not believe students, staff, or the public are in any danger at this time. Anyone with more information regarding this incident is urged to YPD at 402-625-2112, Sarpy County Crime Stoppers at 402-443-8181, or call 911.
