KSAT 12 Sports and Christus Children’s shine spotlight on local senior student athlete.

SAN ANTONIO – Meet Instant Replay’s newest Scholar Athlete of the Week: Alita Uresti of McCollum High School.

Alita is a four-year member and captain of the varsity soccer team where she leads the squad in goals and assists. She was named Offensive Player of the Year and First-Team All-District and First-Team Academic All-State three years in a row. She’s the President of the Senior Class and a member of the National Honor Society. She performs community service through many organizations including Urban Champions Academy Science, Communities in Schools Toy Drive and Elf Louise. Alita maintains a 4.0 GPA and is ranked third in her class. Alita plans to attend the University of Texas in Austin where she will major in Biology and go into Pre-Med.
