Organizers cancelled the annual event due to wildfires.
STANLEY, Idaho — The sawtooth Salmon Festival has been cancelled due to all of the wildfire activity in the area. The organizers said it was “out of respect for the community.”
“We are sad to have to make this decision but do not want to add any strain to the situation,’ stated the organizers on social media. “Thank you to our nonprofit partners, vendors, the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes, our sponsors, and our supporters and attendees for your interest and commitment to Idaho’s salmon and steelhead. We are already thinking about Salmon Fest 2025 and hope to see you there.”
