GRAND LEDGE, Mich. (WLNS) — The Satanic Temple – Capital Area Michigan is holding an event they call ‘Sunday In The Park With Satan’ at Fitzgerald Park in Grand Ledge on Sunday. The announcement sparked discussion online with many of the reactions being negative.
Rob “The Human” is the Congregation Head of the Capital Area chapter and said the event isn’t nefarious despite what’s being said.
“We are going to have a cookout, do some lawn games, and answer questions that people who are curious about our organization have,” Rob said.
Many members of the community see the name and don’t want them anywhere near Grand Ledge.
“It doesn’t sound like a good thing to me. I think we have enough bad stuff going on in the world right now, and it just doesn’t sound like something that is positive,” Melissa Withers, who lives in Grand Ledge, said.
