OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Sarpy County has a new sheriff.
The county’s board of commissioners on Tuesday passed a measure to make Greg London its new sheriff, 5-0. London will replace Jeff Davis, who plans to retire Jan. 7, and serve the rest of Davis’ term, which ends in 2026.
“Greg’s commitment to Sarpy County is clear and his leadership experience serving with Sheriff Davis has been invaluable to our community,” Sarpy County Board Chair Angi Burmeister said. “We’re grateful to Sheriff Davis for 50 years of dedication and service to Sarpy County. We look forward to working with his successor next year to build on Sarpy’s strong public safety record.”
London has worked in the Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office since 1988, and has been the Chief Deputy for a decade.
