Santa Claus pays a visit to the MassMutual Center [Video]

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – Santa Claus was very busy on Saturday in western Mass, but first he stopped by the MassMutual Center for some breakfast.

The festive holiday event featured delicious food, meet and greet opportunities with Santa, and free admission to the Springfield Boys and Girls Club’s Annual Festival of Trees.

We spoke with Rina O’Donnell, the marketing manager at the MassMutual Center, who told us about just how amazing the turnout was.

“Today’s event is sold out. Almost 400 people here behind me, and it’s all about the holiday season and of course, giving back to the community,” she said. “It is something we’ve been doing for a few years now, and it’s a great turnout so we plan to do it next year as well.”

We also got to speak with Xiomara Delobato, a first-time parent, who shared what the event meant to her and her family.
