SANDUSKY, Ohio (WOIO) – The Sandusky Police Department is holding a press conference Saturday morning to address a December arrest that has sparked online controversy.
In a Friday release, the Sandusky Police said the video circulating social media does not show the context of the incident and is one of many from that day.
At around 9 a.m. on Dec. 19, a Sandusky officer reported conducting a traffic stop on a Dodge for speeding on Campbell Street at Rockwell Street.
When the officer, whose name is redacted from the report, noticed a woman driver and Scotty Scott, 28, in the front passenger seat.
The officer noted in the report, “It was known he has several active warrants for his arrest.”
