Sandpoint Pride 2024 set to kick off this weekend [Video]

SANDPOINT, Idaho — The fourth annual Sandpoint Pride Festival is set to kick off Friday.

The two-day event will feature dozens of advocacy and community vendors, regionally touring drag queens, local artists, performers and food trucks, among other activities, according to a press release from the organizers.

The event will feature a new main stage for performers with room for guests to set up their own lawn chairs, blankets and other seating options.

The community is set to gather under the theme “Queering democracy for a politics of respect and empathy” with the goal to “affirm the dignity and equality” of the LGBTQ+ community and to celebrate their ongoing contribution to society.

Organizers warn parking in the granary district is limited and encourage attendees to walk, bike or use public transit to get to the event.
