Salvation Army providing widespread relief to thousands in Tioga/Potter Counties [Video]

TIOGA/POTTER COUNTIES, Pa. (WETM) — Hurricane Debby is long gone but the impacts the storm left behind on the Twin Tiers are still noticeable weeks later. As communities continue to clean up and rebuild, many agencies responded to the impacted areas to help, including the Salvation Army.

The Salvation Army announced on Wednesday thousands of meals were provided to residents, first responders, and state incident management team members in the two counties since teams arrived in the areas to lend aid.

The Salvation Army said 1,968 meals were provided so far with that number expected to reach 2,500 by the end of the day on Thursday, Aug. 22. as crews are in the area giving aid.
