Salvation Army provides Christmas meal for community [Video]

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – Another holiday event was put together by the Salvation Army at their headquarters on Roberts Street in Fargo.

“We’re happy to host a Christmas dinner as we do every year on Christmas Eve,” said Abe Tamayo, of the Salvation Army.

A free Christmas meal was provided for anyone who wanted to visit.

“We anticipate about one hundred and fifty people,” said Tamayo.

Members of the Salvation Army feel the urge to take the time in their lives to give back to the community.

“It’s our responsibility as people that really have been blessed with a lot to share what we have with others,” said Lisa Kadlec, a volunteer from the Salvation Army.

Lisa Kadlec and her husband moved to Fargo two and a half years ago from Bismarck, where they had experience in volunteering prior to joining the Salvation Army.

“We volunteered at similar organizations,” said Kadlec.
