Angel Tree distribution days will take place on Dec. 11 and Dec. 13.
SMITH COUNTY, Texas — With the holiday season in full swing, the Salvation Army of Tyler is trying to ensure every angel up for adoption receives their Christmas wish.
According to a press release, over 400 angels are still up for adoption at the Broadway Square Mall, and additional angels are up for adoption online.
The last day to adopt and return an angel is Saturday, Dec. 7.
“Your kindness and generosity mean that every child registered on the Angel Tree program has a gift to open on Christmas morning, and parents don’t have to decide between paying bills or buying toys,” Salvation Army of Tyler Capt. Michelle Walker said in a statement.
Susan Boehme, volunteer public relations and special events coordinator, said that gifts can range from toys to articles of clothing.
