SAFEWAY has issued an apology to one of its shoppers after they encountered an issue with the retailer’s mobile app.

The customer appeared to struggle finalizing their payment, and flagged the pesky glitch to to the big box retailer.

“Safeway, please fix your app,” the user wrote on X.

“I keep reviewing my cart, it tries to upsell me, I click out, it goes to review cart but the payment is not there.

“When I go and select my cc, it goes back to the cart and says I need to add payment method.

“Wasted 30 minutes of my life.”

A representative promptly responded to the gripe, and promised to rectify the error as soon as possible.

“We apologize for the inconvenience,” they responded.
