Safe Summer Series 2024 season kicks off with a concert at Birmingham Botanical Gardens [Video]

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – The Safe Summer Series returns for a new year with a concert at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. The event will feature performances from nationally renowned artist Raheem DeVaughn and local artist Logan the Entertainer.

The concert will be held at the BBG on Sunday, August 18, at 6:00 p.m. It’s free to attend. There will be local food trucks in attendance offering food for purchase.

The concert series began in 2021 as a safe way for people to gather during the Covid-19 pandemic. It also provided a “safe space” for people to avoid violence in the community.
