De’Aaron Fox is parting ways with Sacramento after being traded to the Spurs for Zach LaVine.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Just moments ago, Sacramento Kings fans received a message from De’Aaron Fox on his social media expressing his gratitude to the city and saying goodbye.
Over the weekend, ESPN’s Shams Charania posted Fox was heading to the San Antonio Spurs in exchange for Zach LaVine.
Charania reported the Kings would trade Fox and Jordan McLaughlin to the Spurs and LaVine, Sandy Cissoko, three first-round draft picks, and three second-round picks. But the trade doesn’t stop there.
Kevin Huerter, Tre Jones, Zach Collin, and their 2025 pick through the Spurs will head to the Chicago Bulls. Fox will be reunited with Harrison Barnes, who played with the Kings for six seasons before being traded to the Spurs in 2024. Fox will also join Victor Wembanyama and Chris Paul.
