One of the Russians released in the historic prisoner swap is a multi-millionaire business owner convicted of hacking and insider trading in federal court in Boston last year, 5 Investigates reports.Vladimir Klyushin was sentenced to 9 years in prison and ordered to forfeit $34 million dollars after being convicted at a trial in September 2023. The case was described as an elaborate hack-to-trade scheme using confidential corporate information stolen from U.S. computer networks. “Russian businessman Vladislav Klyushin is a sophisticated hacker who engineered a global get-rich-quick scheme that defrauded unsuspecting American businesses of approximately $93 million.
