RUSK, Texas (KETK) – Just over two months ago the American Legion Coleman-Isgate Post 293 re-opened the Rusk Veteran Center, but now they are seeking the community’s help.

The post’s goal is to support veterans and the community. After their official opening June 28, they hit the ground running to make their goal reality.
“We have had some family reunions and just the other day a memorial service for a Navy veteran,” Coleman-Isgate Post 293 Commander Terry Mcpherson said.
They also host Thursday night music nights, bingo, and Tuesday lunch groups. On Saturday, Post 293 added a flag retirement box to the front of the building to serve it’s members and local community residents.
