Coming out of Stanford and working with Oracle and several other companies, Rodrigo Liang decided to build SambaNova Systems, the full stack enterprise grade AI system, which is giving everyone else in the field a run for their money. The company’s technology is built around the SN40L chip, which features a reconfigurable dataflow architecture.
Recently, SambaNova Systems achieved a new performance milestone, setting a world speed record with Meta’s Llama 3.1 405B model, processing 114 tokens per second.
Rodrigo led the engineering team at Oracle responsible for the development of SPARC processors and ASICs. He oversaw the design of cutting-edge processors and ASICs for Oracle’s enterprise servers.
