ROCHESTER, Minn. – Rochester Public Transit is looking for community feedback. On Jan. 15, the department hosted a virtual open house and an online survey to discuss the route changes and updates due to upcoming construction.
Commuters will be seeing route detours, temporary relocation of transit stops near St. Mary’s Hospital and the temporary relocation of the Downtown Transit Center. These impacts are expected to begin in mid-March and will stay that way until the end of this year, possibly going into 2026.
We spoke with riders who voiced their concerns on these updates. RPT staff says transparency is going to be key as these changes begin.
