Rochester man competes in first Caterpiller technician challenge | Ag News [Video]

TUCSON, ARIZONA – A Caterpillar technician from Rochester recently took part in the company’s inaugural Global Dealer Technician Challenge.

Caterpillar says this first-ever challenge was designed to celebrate the essential role dealer technicians play in providing an excellent customer service experience, describing it as a hands-on, skills-based competition. that highlights how skilled technicians are part of a high-tech, high-impact and high-demand career.

Bob Pike of Ziegler traveled to Green Valley, Arizona, to compete at Caterpillar’s Tinaja Hills Demonstration & Learning Center.

“These trained experts are on the front line of support, working to keep machines and engines up and running to help ensure our customers’ critical projects are completed,” said Caterpillar Vice President of Global Service Henry Venneman.  “There are thousands of opportunities available globally for those who are interested in a hands-on career. Cat dealers are often looking for individuals who are problem solvers, mechanically inclined and tech savvy.”
