When Total Market Solutions last spoke to executive chairman Charles Dickson it was obvious he, the rest of the Roadside Real Estate board alongside joint venture partner Meadow Partners were going full throttle on the investment in and development of roadside real estate.
Weeks later the joint venture announced its biggest ever deal with the acquisition of 12 stores from Lidl. The deal takes the form of forward funding with the international discount retail chain buying the land, getting the planning permission, starting the stores’ construction, and then the joint venture buys them halfway through construction when it becomes the landlord.
