Richard Lawson and Debbi Morgan To Star in ‘Beauty in Black’ [Video]

Following the release of Divorce in the Black, Tyler Perry is back with another production! The upcoming release of Beauty in Black follows Netflix and Tyler Perry unveiling a multiyear, first-look TV series deal that came on top of an earlier creative production partnership.

‘Beauty in Black’, Perry’s first Netflix drama, follows the contrasting lives of Kimmie (Taylor Polidore Williams) and Mallory (Crystle Stewart). Per the press release:

While Kimmie is struggling to make a living after her mother kicked her out, and Mallory is running a successful business, they find themselves entangled in each other’s lives.

The ensemble cast also includes Debbi Morgan, Richard Lawson, Amber Reign Smith, Ricco Ross, Steven G. Norfleet, Julian Horton, Terrell Carter, Shannon Wallace, Bryan Tanaka, Joy Rovaris, Xavier Smalls, Charles Malik Whitfield, Tamera “Tee” Kissen, Ursula O.
