On October 9, 2024, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of New Jersey (NBIMC), an RWJBarnabas Health facility, hosted its 19th Annual Celebrating Newark: Partners in Progress awards gala, a star-studded event at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center.
This year’s gala celebrated the many innovative community outreach initiatives that the hospital has embarked upon and sustained over the years. In attendance were, 1986 NY Giants Captain and Super Bowl XXI Champion George Martin and NBA basketball legend, businessman, and entrepreneur Earvin “Magic” Johnson, who delivered the keynote address.
