CHARLOTTE — Built on Hospitality’s newest venture puts the spotlight on Mediterranean-inspired cuisine.
Mazi — which means “together” in Greek — is targeting a mid-to-late February opening in South End. It’s at 1300 South Blvd., Suite 101-F.
The Charlotte-based hospitality group has been tapped to develop the menu and brand for that roughly 2,500-square-foot restaurant — its latest management contract. It also will manage day-to-day operations for owners Troy Brewer and Hemant Patel.
“Personally, as a chef, it’s fun to just create. It’s what drives me,” chef Chris Coleman says. “From a business perspective, we get to use our expertise that my business partners and I have developed over the past 20 years. It brings in cash flow to the business, to the overall operations.”
