Spokespeople for the Ohio Department of Commerce and the mobile home park say they are working to solve the issue.
CAREY, Ohio — Kim Watkins recently has lived in a home inside the Carey Estate Mobile Home Park with her fiancée.
In that time, she says during rain storms, her street resembles a swimming pool, and with freezing temperatures now in the area, it’s more like an ice rink, creating problems getting around.
Watkins often worried she would not be able to get out of her driveway.
“We can’t park in the street, or we couldn’t until now, otherwise you wouldn’t be able to without walking through inches of water,” she added.
That concern is echoed by Watkins’ neighbor, Elyse Corfman, who has lived in the park for 10 years.
She said on New Year’s Eve the flooding and freezing got so bad, her car got stuck.
