Republicans upset two Democratic incumbents in Addison County [Video]

After six seats in the Vermont Senate and over a dozen in the House were flipped to Republicans after Tuesday’s election, two of those races ousted prominent incumbent Democrats in Addison County. Republican Senator-elect Steven Heffernan narrowly ousted Chris Bray by just over 600 votes. Bray was the chair of the Senate Natural Resources and Energy Committee. “I told everybody when I started that I don’t have an agenda, and not having an agenda means that you’re open to see what’s happening up there and trying to give good common-sense answers, trying to find practical solutions that are right for all Vermonters,” Heffernan said.Additionally, Republican State Representative-elect for Addison County’s district 3, Rob North, had a tight victory over incumbent Diane Lanpher by around 300 votes.
