NORTH AUGUSTA, SC. (WJBF) – The ribbon cutting was set to happen at 3:30 Saturday, immediately followed by a Cody Webb concert. The reopening of the renovated amphitheater was also supposed to introduce a new North Augusta tradition—803 Night at Riverside Village—to be celebrated every year on August 3rd. However, because of the rain, the event has been postponed.
“We were all set up and ready to go; like I said, the rain just kind of ruined that,” said Jennifer Goldman, Tourism Marketing Director North Augusta. We’ve kind of been watching it and monitoring it, and it just looks like it’s going to get worse later on. So, we didn’t want to set back up and then have to sit here and wait and then reset. So, we are going to reschedule in the future.”
