RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Two hundredfamilies are waking up to Random Acts of Kindness from the Reno-Sparks Gospel Mission and community members.
“People are so surprised, they can not believe that you are there to just give them something because. Not because of who they are or where they live. It’s just because. If they say they need it. We give it to them,” said Marie Krueger, the director of development.
This is an annual tradition for over 20 years. “We go to two different neighborhoods. One neighborhood is over by Rita Cannan Elementary School and one neighborhood is right here. This whole neighborhood off of Timber,” added Krueger.
“People that are less fortunate than we are. People that are struggling to make tough decisions in life. Whether to pay for utility bills or pay for food,” said Luis Santoni, who is the executive director. He wants to provide solutions. …
