HAZARD, Ky. (FOX 56) — Those who might be unable to afford healthcare in Hazard may be able to receive free dental or vision treatment this weekend.
A non-profit called Remote Area Medical (RAM) is making a stop in Hazard over the weekend, offering dental or vision services for free.
The clinic is being put on in collaboration with the University of Kentucky Center for Excellence in Rural Health, per the RAM clinic website.
East Perry Elementary School in Hazard was transformed into a makeshift clinic this weekend to accommodate a staff of dentistry students, residents, and staff from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, who will volunteer their services at the Hazard pop-up clinic, providing dental and oral exams for free to those who need them, per RAM.
