ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – The former Northway Mall has undergone new changes including partial demolition, and will soon be home to retail stores like O’Reilly Auto Parts.
The redevelopment of the 30-acre site at 3101 Penland Parkway included the demolition of a large part of the enclosed mall which is near completion, according to a press release from Benderson Development.
New businesses are slated to move into the building alongside Shockwave Trampoline Park and Xpress Lube, including O’Reilly Auto Parts. Their new 37,000-square-foot location is expected to open in the summer of 2025.
“Northway Mall was one of Alaska’s first enclosed malls and we’re excited to revitalize the property to better serve the needs of the community,” said Shaun Benderson, managing director of Benderson Development.
