Red Cross Community Adaptation Program establishing more resiliency centers | News [Video]

BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. – The Butte County Red Cross Community Adaptation Program is working to establish more resiliency centers.

We told you last month about the agency partnering with Mission Energy to install solar panels at centers in Oroville.

The program has established more than a dozen centers in our area to provide resources and support during emergencies like heat waves, floods, and fires.

Amalia Rodas, program coordinator says it’s been a two-year process.

“It can be any center that can be that is already in the community that is working and serving the community,” Rodas said. “It can be food distribution centers, churches, and all of these different ways the community can get resources and support.”
