Red Bull Advisor Reiterates Max Verstappen’s F1 Exit Threat Amid FIA F-Bomb Controversy [Video]

Following Max Verstappen‘s remarks about potentially retiring from Formula 1 if the FIA continues to restrict him from being himself after the F-bomb controversy, Red Bull senior advisor Helmut Marko has issued a warning, urging that Verstappen’s statements should be taken seriously.

Max Verstappen was given a community service penalty by the stewards for violating the International Sporting Code after using profanity during the FIA’s Thursday press conference at the Singapore Grand Prix weekend. The remark, however, was directed at his car, the RB20, rather than any individual.

As a form of protest, he declined to answer questions properly during the post-qualifying session, organized an impromptu media gathering in the paddock, and later suggested that the controversy, sparked by FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem’s crackdown on profanity, could bring about his F1 retirement sooner.
