Anderson County is setting its sights on new goals for 2025. County leaders are focusing on many challenges impacting citizens. Today, county officials in a long meeting brainstorming on possible solutions.Here is what’s at the top of their list. Anderson County Administrator Rusty Burns says the biggest will be addressing the rapid growth in the county and the housing shortage.”The county is reviewing all of the growth ordinances in the county, and have for about two years,” said Burns. These challenges are followed closely by the county road system. According to Burns, there are 1,550 miles of county roads and 1,250 miles of state roads in various levels of disrepair.
