RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – An indoor shooting range may soon be on its way to Rapid City.
Last week, the Rapid City Planning Commission unanimously passed a motion allowing for the city’s only indoor shooting range to be built. The Midwest Shooting Center will include services such as membership options, firearms training and purchasing, gunsmithing and other events. The facility is meant to allow gun enthusiasts, or those looking to spark a passion for firearms, to safely learn and hone their skills without having to leave the city.
“Guns are a part of the culture. We want to provide a location for our youth and our community to have more gun safety. Some place for law enforcement to train, so this will be a great asset to the community,” Dream Design International President Hani Shafai said.
