LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – If you’re staying at Resorts World this week, your room will be inspected.
The resort says they will conduct “brief, scheduled, visual, and non-intrusive room inspections.”
They say all guests have already been notified.
The resort says these inspections are precautionary following increasing ransomware threats to casinos and hotels on the Las Vegas Strip. The start of these inspections also comes at the same time as the Black Hat USA Convention at Mandalay Bay. The hacking and cybersecurity convention started Saturday and runs through Thursday.
