Racine apartment elevator broken for months [Video]

Residents living at Arcade Apartments in Racine asked WISN 12 News for help. They say they’re dealing with a broken elevator, water in the building and growing mold, and that their complaints to management are going unanswered and unresolved. A sign next to the elevator reads, “Out of service, sorry for the inconvenience.”Tenants said it’s been that way for months. So, for now, they’re taking the stairs.Video recorded by a resident shows rain falling inside a building stairwell. “It sounds like a waterfall,” one resident said. “The elevator has been broken for over two months. I live on the sixth floor, so walking up and down six floors is very, very hard,” said resident Jacob Hetchler. The writing is on the wall, literally.
