Quiet, cozy lodging experience awaits in Orleans [Video]

ORLEANS, Neb. (KOLN) – The Orleans Hotel is believed to be the longest continuously operating hotel in the state of Nebraska, and it continues to welcome visitors today.

Miki Yaw runs the business with her husband, Brandon. They bought it from previous owners around Easter time of 2023. They have repainted it, and added a number of new interior design elements.

“This building was a project started in 1929 by many community members,” Miki said. “There was not one sole person building it. The creamery was popular in town, and people were having to stay other places. So in response, the community of Orleans came together and decided to build it.” The town of Orleans was once home to a huge creamery that is no longer in operation. But in the 1930s it was bringing jobs and visitors to the area.
