A Queensland woman who is accused of abusing her one-year-old daughter for social media fame and money to “immense distress and pain” has been granted bail.
On Wednesday, a 34-year-old woman, who is believed to be a social media influencer, was granted bail under strict conditions by a Queensland magistrate.
The woman, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, is facing multiple charges including five counts of administering poison with intent to harm, three counts of preparation to commit crimes with dangerous things, and one count each of torture, making child exploitation material, and fraud.
Police allege the incidents took place between August and October of 2024, and that she gave her daughter, who had medical conditions, unauthorised and over-the-counter medicine without medical approval.
It’s also alleged that the woman of raising $60,000 through a GoFundMe page.
