Push Cinema in downtown Mobile closes its doors [Video]

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – The city of Mobile has once again lost its downtown movie theater.

Push Cinema, formally known as the Crescent Theater, is up for sale.

The movie theater on Dauphin Street closed its doors last Friday.

Push Cinema moved into the downtown building just last August.

The owner posted to social media that he closed the cinema to focus on building himself as a businessman and conduct team building.

In 2017, the then Crescent Theater and its owners had to raise $72,000 just to keep the theater’s doors open.

The theater has continued to face financial hardships under multiple owners.
