BATAVIA, Ohio (WXIX) – Clermont County prosecutors are expected to hold a press conference on Monday, Aug. 5, after Chad Doerman pleaded guilty to killing his three sons.
Prosecutors are expected to release more details on the case at 1 p.m.
On Friday, Doerman, now 33, took a plea deal of three life sentences to avoid the death penalty. He will spend the rest of his life in jail without the possibility of parole, Clermont County Common Pleas Court Judge Richard Ferenc said.
The father pleaded guilty to three counts of aggravated murder for the killings of his sons – Clayton, 7; Hunter, 4, and Chase, 3 – execution-style at their Monroe Township home in June 2023.
He also pleaded guilty to two counts of felonious assault for injuries caused to his ex-wife, Laura Doerman, and his former stepdaughter.
