LUCAS COUNTY, Ohio — A programming error has led to 346 homeowners in Lucas County receiving “significantly increased” property revaluations, Auditor Katie Moline said Wednesday.
According to Moline, the error was discovered during community outreach the auditor’s office conducted in September and October.
“With approval from the Board of Revision, we can adjust those 346 parcels who appealed informally in the fall to their requested value that also falls within the fair market value,” Moline said.
According to Moline, the Board of Revision approved this “mass update” on Monday and before the approval occurred, the auditor’s office was unable to update the values.
Moline said the specific value changes will be reflected in AREIS as they are processed and each property owner will be mailed a notification of the error …
