Prince Albert’s Police Service (PAPS) has laid charges against a suspect in relation to a shooting in the city’s west end on Nov. 17.
On Dec. 8, a 27-year-old suspect was taken into custody in Meadow Lake by local RCMP officers.
The suspect faces a total of nine charges.
They include possessing a firearm while prohibited, discharging a firearm while being reckless, discharging a firearm with intent to endanger a life, careless use of a firearm, possessing a firearm without a license, possessing a weapon dangerous to the public, carrying a concealed weapon, aggravated assault and uttering threats.
Officers from Prince Albert travelled to the community and took the accused into custody.
He made his first appearance in provincial court on these charges on Dec. 9.
