Prichard water issues to take focus at community meeting [Video]

MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — Leaders with an environmental justice organization that focuses on injustices faced by Black and brown communities are preparing to host a community meeting in Prichard.

According to a press release from We Matter Community Association, the community meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 19, at 6 p.m. at Blount High School.

MEETING LOCATION:

Organizers say the meeting is an opportunity to address the water crisis in black communities from across the country and how those situations compare to what is happening in Prichard.

There will be a panel of leaders from the organization who are set to speak at the meeting.
