Preparations underway for Les Boutiques de Noel | Calendar [Video]

The elves are grinding it out at the cavernous convention center, in preparation for the weekend’s Les Boutique de Noel.  The booths of the opera guild fundraiser will be decked out in festive finery, most of which will be on sale to suit any of your tastes.

“I’ve been involved with the Opera Guild for 10 years maybe and I just love Christmas,” Shreveport Bossier Opera Guild President Kathryn  Smitherman said.  She offered that planning for this year’s Boutiques began about a year ago, when they’d just closed the books on last year’s event.

“It’s our 50^th anniversary and we have really gone all out.  We have 100 merchants this year from all over the South, probably double what we’ve had in the last 5 years or so,” she added.
