The old fraternity house at 550 Fraternity Row was not treated too well after years of housing college students and their parties.
But when Melany Wolfe, executive director of Aggieland Pregnancy Outreach, walked through the building, she had a new vision for the place.
“We had thought we were going in a different direction. We were praying and planning for this campus that, in our minds, was going to be a big community center and individual houses,” she said. “We got a call that there was a fraternity house and I thought, ‘Let’s go look, just for the fun of it,’ but it wasn’t ideally what we thought we would be doing. When we got to the fraternity house, it checked all the boxes of what we needed.”
