HAMDEN, Conn. — Power has been restored after an outage at Quinnipiac University’s Mount Carmel campus, canceling classes Tuesday. Classes on the main campus will run on its regular schedule Wednesday, the University told FOX61.
The cause of the power outage is currently unknown. The outage was first reported at 9:48 a.m. Tuesday and the Mount Carmel campus was without power into the evening.

John Morgan, Quinnipiac’s Assistant Vice President for Public Relations, said the outage is a university issue and not related to UI. The facility team on campus worked throughout the day and into Tuesday evening to restore the electricity.
