Portlands sunny skies, warm temps continue Friday and into weekend; high 88 [Video]

Portland hit a high, unofficially, of 86 degrees Thursday making it the probable coolest day of the week.

The National Weather Service says clouds may make an appearance early Friday and have been forming all morning along the Columbia River from the metro area north to Kalama.

But the clouds won’t last long and will likely break apart by late morning leaving Portland mostly sunny. The high should reach about 88 degrees. Winds will be strong at times throughout the Willamette Valley with gusts of 15-22 mph possible.

Portland’s sunny weekend will come with a slight jump in temperatures. The current probabilities of temps reaching 90 or warmer within the entire Willamette Valley are 60-80% on Saturday, 50-60% on Sunday, and 30-40% on Monday.

Portland’s forecasted high Saturday is 92 degrees.

On Sunday, winds will be calm early in the day, then turn northwest at about 6 mph after noon. The high will be around 90.
